Batlow CiderFest 2026 — We Were There

Batlow CiderFest 2026 — We Were There

FROM THE ORCHARD

Batlow CiderFest 2026 is done and dusted — and what a day it was. The autumn light was perfect, the crowd was warm, and the cider flowed from 10am until the last pour at 4:00pm. Here's how it all went down for the Brewers Orchard crew.

Pioneer Street never looked better.

Batlow in autumn is something else entirely. The Snowy Valleys were doing their thing — golden light, cool air, and the kind of quiet energy that only a town built around harvest can pull off. We set up on Pioneer Street early, got the fridge full, and by 10am the first customers were already making their way over.

The crowd was a good mix — locals who've been coming to CiderFest for years, visitors making the trip for the first time, and plenty of people who'd never tried a Brewers Orchard cider before. That last group was our favourite to pour for.

The pours that stopped people in their tracks.

Granny was the crowd favourite — that medium dry edge cuts through perfectly on a cool autumn afternoon. Rising Sun wasn't far behind, and Après found its people among those after something a little wintery. Gurneys Zero held its own too — more than a few designated drivers left genuinely impressed.

On the take-home side, the Airlie Rosé and Wild 2025 bottles were gone well before the afternoon.

To everyone who came and found us.

Events like this are why we do what we do. The conversations at the stall — about apples, about craft, about what makes a good cider — are the best part of the job. Thank you to the Batlow CiderFest organisers for putting on a brilliant event, and to everyone who stopped by, tasted something new, or took a four-pack home.

We'll be back.
