On Station Street in Fairfield sits Oak & Young, a wine shop with a big heart for small producers. Founded by brothers Matty and Andrew De Angelis, Oak & Young is all about wines with a story — bottles made by hand, from vineyards practising sustainable and low-intervention methods, chosen for flavour and character over mass production.

Inside you’ll find shelves lined with Australian and international gems, from crisp Victorian pinot noir to Italian prosecco and small-batch limoncello, plus a constantly rotating line-up of special releases. On the back wall is their innovative tap-wine system, offering a sustainable way to refill your bottle and cut down on packaging — just one part of how Oak & Young is challenging how we buy and enjoy wine.
